Adventure Pack
Sputnik and Monarch wanted to play with each other when we first set out for our hike this afternoon. They made some playful leaps and bows with each other, but couldn't get too into it since they both have to stay on leash. We had a few encounters with other dogs on the trail. Sputnik got growly one time, but the rest of the greetings were friendly and pleasant. Coco and Clover were the forward greeters and set a good tone when they said hello to the dogs who came up to the pack, including one extremely bold and wiggly Golden Retriever.
Play Pack
Isaac was back to his usual fetch-obsessed self today, with Sanaya and Coco joining in for shorter throws that gave them a chance not to be outraced by Isaac. Despite seeming a little stiff this afternoon, Thompson followed his usual routine of wandering the park at his own pace, greeting dogs, and lingering at the spots where dogs and people congregate, like at the concrete pad at the center of the park. Meanwhile, Ruffers watched her packmates play fetch for a while before branching off to race around with some other dogs. It was a bit breezy this afternoon, but nothing like yesterday; however, the long balls to Isaac consistently got blown off course with the wind, which caused them to fall to his right, whereas I normally place the ball to his left as he runs his route.
