Adventure Pack
Sputnik made a few playful moves again with packmate Monarch today, though Monarch was distracted and didn't play back. Clover is still pretty unsure of the CamelBak. When I offered it, Sputnik and Coco went right for it as usual, while Monarch and Clover both sniffed at it, curiously. Cradling Monarch's head as I brought the spout to the side of her mouth worked to get her going, and once she was going I was able to back off from her and she kept drinking. Even though Clover still threw her head away from the water when it started pouring, she was much more comfortable with me holding it by her face when the water wasn't flowing. Progress is slow but steady.
Play Pack
Coco spent much of our park visit standing at a distance from me and staring intently, waiting for me to throw tennis balls to her. While Coco was just interested in playing catch, Isaac enjoyed his usual rounds of fetch with some short breaks to lie in the few remaining snowy patches to cool down. Sanaya found a squeaky ball that kept her entertained for the length of our outing. When she wasn't playing fetch with it, she was digging holes for it or just chewing on it repeatedly to make it squeak. Meanwhile, Ruffers and Thompson were more interested in the dogs than in the tennis balls. Ruffers danced all around several different dogs to try to entice them into some play, but not all of them were interested. She spent a while hovering around some smaller dogs who were wrestling with each other. She and Thompson were both enamored with a large, intact Shepherd mix. Thompson even mounted him for a brief moment.
