Adventure Pack
When I let the dogs in and out of the car, I call them each, by name, one by one, to come forward while the rest of the pack waits their turn. Clover and Monarch are starting to understand that they can't just barrel out of the car as soon as I open the door; however, I think Clover is having a little trouble knowing when it's her turn because her and Coco's names sound similar. She isn't as pushy when I first open the door, but she always starts forward when I call Coco's name. I think she'll learn the distinction with a bit more practice, though. Sputnik and Monarch made playful moves with each other when we first hit the trail this morning. Sputnik dropped into play bows and made big leaps from side to side while Monarch wiggled, hopped toward him, and threw her head around. Meanwhile, Coco and Clover were trotting along calmly at my other side.
Play Pack
Isaac, Sanaya, and Coco all wanted to play fetch, but Isaac was the only one who ever brought the ball back to keep the game going. Sanaya and Coco just stood at a distance and watched me intently so they could chase down the ball, pick it up, give it a few chews, and then drop it back in place. Isaac usually ran by to scoop it up after his packmates were done with it. There was a fast, playful Husky who showed up at the park and gave Isaac, Sanaya, Ruffers, and Coco all a good, long run. Sanaya and Isaac kept up, while Ruffers and Coco would wait for the Husky's circuit to bring him near and then they would pounce in ambush and give a short chase before the others outpaced them. Meanwhile, Thompson was hanging out at the center pad, making friends both dog and human alike.
