Adventure Pack

Despite temperatures in the teens, Thompson apparently felt it wasn't cold enough and therefore decided he should splash around in the mucky water in the ditch beside the trail this morning.  Before heading home, we made a quick stop by the Creek to wash some of the muck out of his fur.  Sputnik had a mix of good and not-so-good greetings with passing dogs today.  He gets so anxious whenever the other dog starts to show any interest directed back at him.  It probably didn't help that I could hear Mamacita making some quiet whining noises herself, which no doubt added to the anxiety.  Thankfully, Coco stayed out of any trouble and set a good example for her packmates as she trotted along the trail off-leash, stayed out of the muck, and made friendly greetings with all the dogs who passed by.

Coco and Ruffers made a stop at my place with me before our walk.  They made the most of their time together by wrestling around in the living room, with Ruffers instigating the interaction by pawing at Coco's shoulder.  The walk itself was calm and quiet.  The lack of excitement seemed to make the cold feel colder, though the dogs didn't appear to be bothered by it like I was.  Perhaps I was a bit out-of-sorts from a spill I had taken when bringing Thompson down to the Creek in between the packs' morning and afternoon activities.
