Adventure Pack

Thompson was eager to lead the pack this morning and needed frequent reminders to stop pulling ahead and stick with the group.  Meanwhile, Sputnik was pretty distracted by the smells along the side of the trail and kept pulling over to check them out.  Mamacita, Coco, and Thompson sometimes joined in to sniff alongside Sputnik, but most of the time they just wanted to keep moving.

Play Pack

Ruffers and Coco gave happy, playful greetings to the dogs we passed on the CU South trail this afternoon.  Mamacita was mostly friendly, with the one exception that she got very riled up when we came by one of her neighbors.  Even though Mamacita is generally sweet and even a bit timid in her greetings with other dogs, for some reason, she has a very different attitude about the dogs in her own neighborhood and tends to put on a show of intimidation.  We paused for a minute and I had Mamacita sit in place as the neighbor dog passed by and continued on down the trail.  While sitting and waiting, Mamacita's growl gradually increased in pitch until it became an anxious whine.  Once the whining petered out, we continued on our way.
