Adventure Pack

Monarch had her third outing with the pack today.  She was a bit shy at first and hopped into the driver's seat when Igot out of the car to pick up Ruffers.  I spent a little while coaxing her to come back, and got her to come partway back, but then she kept sitting back down in the driver's seat.  Sputnik tried to help by giving her kisses to let her know it was alright.  Eventually, I tricked her into coming to the back by opening one of the back doors and making her think she was going to get to leave the car.  On our hike, we stopped at the side of the trail as I was going to try to get Monarch more comfortable with drinking from the CamelBak spout.  Coco immediately flopped down and started rolling around in the dirt, while Ruffers and Sputnik bowed, batted, and hopped around each other.  Monarch wasn't sure to make of all the commotion but eventually she came over to the others and sniffed them while they were engaged in their preferred activities.  At the end of the hike, Monarch actually drank out of the CamelBak without pulling away, which was a happy milestone for her third outing.

Play Pack

Thompson was very playful at the park this afternoon after having acupuncture and a chiropractic adjustment yesterday.  He found a few different friends to hop around with and was really engaged with them.  Ruffers saw a friend of the family at the park and spent some time getting love.  She wasn't quite as engaged with other dogs as she usually is at the park, but she did go on one big run with Isaac and a few others.  Mamacita made playful moves with a couple of the dogs there, and had very sweet, gentle greetings with some of the people.  Coco followed me around at my heel the entire time at the park.  She and Isaac played plenty of fetch as well, with Coco getting the short throws and Isaac going after the long balls, as usual.
