Adventure Pack

Luca, Chelsea, Sputnik, and Stella all hit the trails at the Chautauqua together this morning.  We took several water breaks on our way up the steeper end of the Bluebell-Baird trail for our pack of mostly senior dogs to catch their breaths and cool off.  Once we made it up the mountain, the rest of the hike was an easy dscent down and around the other side.

Play Pack

Chelsea, Sputnik, and Thompson met up with Coco at the park this afternoon.  Coco went to the gate a couple times after her mom left the park so I put a leash on her and walked her around a bit to give her the idea that she was there with the pack for the rest of our time.  Eventually she stopped being anxious and started playing fetch.  Meanwhile, Chelsea was having negotiations with a Pitbull who kept coming over to her but then kept getting upset when she tried to mount him - but then returned for more after a few minutes every time.  Thompson met a Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle mix who kept making playful moves around him.  Thompson hopped around with him at first but then started getting a little annoyed when the Bernerdoodle wouldn't stop hopping up and poking at him, and he sent him off with a few stern snarls.  Chunk bounded around the park saying hello to everyone he could and periodically returned to Chelsea to check in and lick her jowls.
