Adventure Pack

Milo kept pace the whole way up to the Flatironette.  He even found a patch of snow that has yet to melt and got a good wiggle in along the way.  Benny chomped on a little snow and followed closely behind me, Sputnik, and Mamacita.  Sputnik was doing great with his greetings of dogs on the trail until we came across a Burnese Mountain dog on the way down.  He kept his cool and wasn't even attempting to stare at the Burner until the moment we passed and then he only grumbled for a fraction of a second, before a little tug kept him moving.  On our way to the car, an older gentleman asked to say hello to our Ridgeback pack members Benny and Mamacita, as he once had a Ridgeback who passed away.  They both said hello, and Sputnik made sure he wasn't forgotten about either.  Milo was pretty tuckered out by that time and just lay down and waited to go to the car.

Play Pack

Stella was very interested in the smells around the pond at the CU South trail this afternoon.  It took a while to get her moving.  Coco ran back and forth between Stella and the rest of us until I finally got Stella to keep pace with the rest of us, which required walking her on the leash for a little bit to set the rhythm.  I let Thompson off the leash but kept a close eye on him and kept him at a heel for most of the walk since he likes to wander far off at that trail sometimes.  Near the end of our walk, he hopped into some super muddy water off the side of the trail.  When we got back to the parking lot, I had him walk around in a deep puddle of still-muddy-but-much-less-muddy water to rinse off the thick black gunk from his paws.  Coco had also jumped into the water by the trail but she managed to dodge the muddiest banks.  All the while, Mamacita trotted along right at my side and stayed out of trouble.
