Adventure Pack

Sputnik was a bit ornery about other dogs we saw on the trails this morning after spending the past week couped up after hurting his paw.  By the time we made our descent, however, he had settled down quite a bit and didn't react negatively to the remaining dogs we passed.  Meanwhile, Milo was feeling more energetic today than he had felt last week, and he resumed his habit of wiggling around in the snow and then bounding through it to catch up with the rest of the pack.  Benny trotted along right behind Mamacita and Sputnik for most of the hike, but had a playful outburst on our way down as he ran up and down alongside the trail through the snow.  Mamacita got a bit worked up seeing her packmate's display and wanted to join, but had to stay on leash because of her tendency to run off and get in trouble.

Unfortunately there wasn't much snow left along the creek for Stella to wiggle around in this afternoon.  The few banks that remain are a little icy and not ideal for making doggy snow angels.  However, Thompson enjoyed walking up on those banks just to cool his paws.  Coco wasn't very interested in the remaining snow.  At one point in our walk, she was a bit unnerved by a little boy who kept running up behind us along the sidewalk.  He didn't come all the way up to the dogs, but it was enough to make Coco keep looking over her shoulder.  That only lasted for a couple minutes until we got a good lead ahead, and Coco relaxed.
