Adventure Pack
Milo went on a solo mini-adventure during today's hike as he disappeared in the brush and didn't come back for 5-10 minutes. He was just a bit behind the group on our way back down the mountain and headed off in the direction of the stream, ignoring my calls to catch up with the group. When I walked back to where he started heading downhill I didn't see him. I walked up and down the stream calling with no sign of him, until he finally reappeared out of the brush from behind us a little further down the trail. I snapped the leash back on him and we continued on. Meanwhile, Chelsea got a good workout and reminded me what good shape all of my regulars are in. Near the end of our hike, Roger Roger and Rucksack both tuned into something up the trail that I was unable to detect and about which the other dogs didn't seem to care. They both stiffened up and wanted to pull forward along the trail, but I couldn't figure out what they were after.
Play Pack
Chunk did a little better walking on a paved path today compared to the hiking trails yesterday. Near the end of our walk, Sputnik and Chunk started making some playful moves much the way Ruffers and Sputnik tend to do on our walks, and often right around that same time in the walk. Everyone was happy to take a break at the creek. Isaac lay down in the water, as expected. Thompson was first in and didn't want to leave when it was time to move on.
