Adventure Pack
It has really warmed up in the past couple days and the pack was feeling the heat as we hiked up the Flatiron Loop. Milo spent a long while in the stream along the Chautauqua Trail on our way before he felt ready to move on, and he set a very easy pace. Roger Roger made friends with a Cattle Dog and the two of them ran around and hopped all over each other until we split off and headed different ways. Rucksack was the most eager for water breaks, and even Thompson was willing to drink from the CamelBak so I knew he was feeling the heat.
Play Pack
Ruffers and Mamacita both found some playmates early on in our visit and had some fun running and dodging around. We had been met at the gate by a barking Bernese Mountain Dog and Sputnik snarled at him before we entered, so I kept him on the leash and walked him around to greet the Berner and other dogs under closer supervision. He was a bit stiff and grumbled during a couple other greetings, but after a while of being led around to greet dogs by sniffing butts rather than confronting them face-to-face, he eventually relaxed and milled around among the other dogs without any more issues. Meanwhile, Ruffers was having lots of fun bowing, spinning, dodging, and running with another friend. Mamacita tried to greet a Pit Bull who wasn't feeling very friendly and tackled her the way I was concerned Sputnik might with another dog after the way he first entered the park. She was ok and came over to me and Sputnik for consolation. Ruffers came over and joined us as well to check on her packmate.
