Adventure Pack

The trails were very muddy today so we headed up and back along the Bluebell Road trail instead of the Chautauqua trail since it is more pebbly and was less slick with mud.  The pack managed to keep relatively clean by avoiding the muddiest trails, though I can't say they stayed dry.  Benny didn't seem too thrilled about hiking in the rain and tried to turn back a few times.  Milo, Rucksack, and Roger Roger were better sports about it and didn't really seem to mind.

Play Pack

I took the pack to my own neighborhood today by Wonderland Lake, where there is less foot traffic and less opportunities for bad behavior.  Also, while driving around to pick up the pack, I took a long while at each stop to address Sadie's barking.  It took a lot of repititions but eventually we managed to pick up each dog while Sadie was lying quietly in the packmobile.  That went a long way toward setting a calmer tone for today's walk, and Sputnik and Sadie didn't lose it on the couple occasions that we passed other dogs.  Sadie did let out a quick bark once, but continued walking on without making any more of it, and Sputnik only cast a few wary glances.  Isaac walked on Thompson's far side, which helped keep him in check from pulling ahead so much as he did yesterday.  Luca followed along at the back of the pack and was a very good boy.  It was thankfully a much calmer and less eventful day than yesterday, even if it was a bit wetter.
