Adventure Pack

Today was the pack's first day back on OSMP trails.  As we headed up the Mesa trail, Roger Roger did a very good job of behaving himself while off leash with Milo.  A little while later, Rucksack went off leash with his little brother and then Roger Roger's good behavior lasted a bit longer before he started barking at Rucksack and biting his legs, so Roger Roger went back on the leash and Milo went back off.  Rucksack and Milo had some fun together exploring the stream in the gully at the start of the Mesa trail.  I think Benny has gotten used to the more level hike at CU South, as he lagged behind on our way uphill; but he did a fine job keeping up on the way back down.

This afternoon's pack made their first outing to the CU South trail instead of the dog park.  It was obvious that everyone is used to the dog park routine because they all tried pulling in different directions at the outset of our hike - even Thompson, Sputnik, and Mamacita who have all come out for morning Adventure Pack hikes regularly in the past.  Eventually, though, everyone settled into the pace and walked along nicely together.  We took a couple water breaks and Sadie, who has never drunk from the CamelBak spout with me before, took to it very quickly after watching her packmate Sputnik quench his thirst.  Stella, on the other hand, followed the lead of Thompson and Mamacita, who both shied away from the water stream.
