Adventure Pack

Milo and Rucksack both spent time getting wet in the stream today while Benny, Mamacita, and Roger Roger all kept dry.  Roger Roger didn't come upon a worthwhile stick until late in the hike, but he was happy to claim it when he did.  Rucksack watched his brother with interest but made no attempts to steal away his prize.

Play Pack

Sadie entered the park barking with a fury today so I walked her around on the leash for a while to practice greeting the other dogs in a friendlier manner.  After a little while of doing much better, she met a Bassett Hound puppy with whom she had a great time.  After an initial sniff the two seemed interested in each other and Sadie started hopping around playfully, but each time she took off to run the Bassett Hound just lied down.  It took some coaxing on her part, but she eventually got him to start doing play-bows and chasing after her.  Benny's day was made when he was sniffing at a woman's pockets and she gave him a piece of her jerky treats after having him sit.  It took some convincing to get him to stop hovering around her after that.  Charlie was off wandering for the duration of our visit and spent much of her time lying on her back while dogs sniffed her.  Coco found herself in the path of a clueless Chester who came barreling by without looking where he was going and then stumbled over her.  Coco was very surprised but she seemed to be no worse for the wear.  Stella found a good spot in the grass to do some wiggling.  At one point, Charlie ran up to her excitedly and the two of them went on a little jog side-by-side.
