Adventure Pack

Rucksack, Roger Roger, and Milo all enjoyed wading in the pond by the trail at CU South Campus this morning.  Benny stuck by my side on the trail but he was eager to get a drink from the CamelBak whenever I offered it.  Rucksack found a stick that he carried around for a while before I passed it over to Roger Roger.  After Roger Roger had it for a while, I gave Milo a turn to carry it.  After that, I offered it to Benny, but Benny only wanted to chew on it while I held it; as soon as I let go he dropped it and left it for Rucksack to grab up again, and then it made another round during the second half of our hike.

Play Pack

It was pretty hot by this afternoon and the pack spent a lot of their park time in the shade, trying to adjust.  Sputnik and Sadie had a bit of play in them and spent some time chasing down tennis balls that I threw for them.  Sputnik was in a picky mood as he would give the ball a sniff after getting it, then he would leave it and go find a different ball that was more to his liking.  He rubbed a Husky the wrong way by trying to mount him and got a very stern response.  The same Husky was excited to see Thompson, who stood in place and sneered while the Husky licked at his face to try to gain his favor.  Sadie wandered the park when she wasn't chasing down tennis balls.  Stella and Benny joined Thompson at his usual spot in the shade of the shelter.  Stella ventured out and wiggled around a bit in the dirt, then barked at curious pups who came over to check her out.  Benny stood up to greet other dogs now and then but was mostly immobile.
