Adventure Pack

Milo and Benny both stuck close to the pack as they explored along the sides of the trail today.  Roger Roger behaved himself very well off the leash today.  He followed Milo around for a bit and then prodded at Benny to play but didn't get too carried away with himself.  Rucksack found a small stick to carry.  Roger Roger grabbed onto a nub that protruded from the side of Rucksack's mouth as they walked side-by-side for a while.  Mamacita grabbed up bites of snow every now and then from the sparse, remaining patches.

Play Pack

Benny was immediately greeted by a small Pit Bull who tried to mount him.  He leapt away until the other dog gave up and tried his moves out on Sputnik instead.  Sputnik gave him a very stern growl and chased him off.  I was glad to see Sputnik communicating his dissatisfaction without overreacting and making a scene, as he has sometimes done in the past.  Sputnik found a couple other dogs to hop and play with later on, and also had a friendly encounter with a Bernese Mountain Dog - a breed that he has been especially wary of in the past.  Stella was feeling social today and walked around among a group of dogs who were milling about near the center of the park.  She was especially interested in a Pointer whom she followed around for a while.  Sadie was less talkative today than last week.  She chased a tennis ball for a bit and sniffed greetings with other dogs.  Her Chihuahua friend was at the park again but the two of them didn't run around together today.  Thompson headed to the back of the park to greet all the regulars before making his way back to the shade of the bus-stop-style shelter at the center of the park.
