Adventure Pack
Milo was feeling very social today and went ahead to greet all the dogs we passed. He was especially interested in a group of three off-leash Vizslas. Their mom was wary of how her dogs would react but Milo wouldn't listen when I called him back; however, they all made happy greetings and Milo was very hesitant to leave his new friends behind. Benny was much more attentive whenever I called him back to the group to let other hikers and cross-country skiers pass by unperturbed. Rucksack has been tending to take off when he gets off leash so I practiced some quick recall with him right from the moment he was unhooked, and I was pleasantly surprised at how responsive he was. Mamacita stayed pretty calm through the hike and only growled at one passing skier. Roger Roger walked nicely at my side and occasionally dove at some twigs he saw poking through the snow.
Play Pack
Mamacita found several playmates at the park and even got Benny moving! Sadie played with the same little Chihuahua she made friends with a couple weeks ago. Sputnik played a lot of fetch and also ran along with some other dogs a bit. He gave lots of kisses to his Malamute/German Shepherd friend Keeyush, who in turn gave lots of kisses to Thompson. Stella did a thorough perimeter sweep along the fenceline, interrupted by occasional wiggles in the snow.
