Adventure Pack

Mamacita contained herself in the car and didn't bark at any bikers or people in cars next to us today, though she eyed them warily.  When we got to the trails, Milo and Benny happily explored off leash together - lingering behind to sniff around and then running to catch up with big smiles on their faces.  Roger Roger harassed his brother Rucksack when they took their turn off leash together, although he was pretty attentive when I called him off to give Rucksack a break.

Sadie was much less talkative today than usual.  She still barked her greetings to most dogs she met but she settled down more quickly to sniff and get acquainted instead of continuing to follow them around, barking.  Sputnik got along terrifically with a brownish-coated Husky.  They raced and bowed and leapt all around each other, occasionally clashing for a a bit of light-hearted wrestling.  I was happy to see that Sputnik didn't lose himself even when they were both very excited and getting pretty physical.  There was another dog who Sputnik chased around earlier in our visit but Sputnik was being a bit pushy with that dog.  Benny got excited and joined in the chase, which made the other dog feel overwhelmed, so I called them over to chill out.  Meanwhile, Stella followed as we made our way around the perimeter of the park, with a happy bounce in her step.  Thompson lingered at the center of the park where most of the humans and other dogs were gathered and he enjoyed getting lots and lots of attention.
