Leader of the Pack

Rucksack carried his trademark huge branch during the beginning of today's hike, while Coco trotted along with a small stick.  Mogul's favorite part of the hike was lying down for a dip in the creek, which he got to do twice - once at the beginning of the hike and again toward the end.  While Mogul lied down, Rucksack and Coco splashed around in the water.

Hershey was just as brave on his second trip to the park as he was on his first.  It's not unusual for new puppies to take haven under picnic tables until they feel comfortable enough to romp around with the other dogs, but Hershey had no such hesitation and spent most of the time wrestling around with Coco.  Rucksack was content to wander around with his prize soccerball, which he occassional dropped so I could kick it for him to chase.  Mogul spent most of the time lying in the shade next to dog park regular Benny (an Old English Sheepdog).  For the latter part of the visit, Coco got wrapped up in playing with another new dog that showed up and Hershey was left trying to figure out how to get in on the action.
