Adventure Pack
Mamacita had fun leaping through and chomping on the snow today. She and Thompson saw a squirrel that crossed the path up ahead of us and as we walked on they both stared intently at the rock wall in which it dissappeared through a little nook. Rucksack took to licking Milo's ears again toward the end of our walk; apparently his were more appealing than Mamacita's today. Roger Roger barked at a passerby which was unusual for him, but he settled down quickly.
Play Pack
The dog park was a solid sheet of ice today, since all the packed snow had started to melt before refreezing last night. The dogs were all pretty nimble on their feet with the exception of Benny, who ran after Sadie for a spurt and then slid and stumbled when he meant to come to a stop. Isaac played fetch although he didn't drop the ball for me to throw it as many times as usual. Sputnik, Sadie, and Ruffers all had fun chasing and/or parading around with tennis balls as well. Ruffers mostly just flaunted it to get attention. Sputnik was the most interested in fetch. Sadie usually snagged the ball out from under Sputnik's nose after he returned with it, and then she would carry it off as her prize for being sneaky and chew at it for a bit before leaving it so I could throw it for Sputnik again. Little Ma came out with the pack for the first time since her heartworm treatment. She was hesitant to go out on the ice at first but then eventually joined the pack for a couple circuits around the perimeter, with some playful running here and there.
