Adventure Pack

It was great being back with the pack today, even in the cold!  Mamacita was raring to go the whole way and kept doing her adorable rear-back-then-lunge forward move almost every step of the hike.  Meanwhile, Roger Roger and Milo ran together in the snow.  Milo has the gravitas to make Roger Roger settle down when he starts getting too rambunctious, unlike his other packmates who aren't sure what to do with Roger Roger when he starts acting up; but they also ran and played and had fun dodging around in the snow.  Rucksack was jealous watching his brother have fun but if I let him off leash to run with him he would surely be complaining about Roger Roger's incessant harassment.  Benny wasn't quite as excited about being out in the cold and tried to stop and turn back several times at the outset.  Once we got moving, though, he warmed up a bit and trotted along more comfortably.

Play Pack

Benny was more enthusiastic about the snow at the park than on the trails.  He and Sputnik ran and dodged around with each other quite a bit.  Sputnik also found a few other playmates as well.  He was a bit tense with a couple of them so we didn't linger around them for very long, but he really enjoyed a pair of Boxers, one old and one very young.  He especially wanted the attention of the older one, who was a bit of a grump and barked at Sputnik whenever Sputnik tried to prod him into play with a paw.  Sputnik was undeterred, and just kept play-bowing and licking the old Boxer's face to try to win his favor.
