Adventure Pack
Benny was so excited about the snowy weather that he actually spent his off-leash time at the lead of the pack with Milo not far behind him, instead of the two of them taking up the rear together as they usually do. When Rucksack and Roger Roger had their turn, Roger Roger was being very pushy about his desire to wrestle and kept gnawing on Rucksack's hind legs. Rucksack started coming to my side for protection from his relentless little sibling and Roger Roger respected me when I told him to back off; but every time Rucksack ventured too far from me, Roger Roger was back at his ankles. Mamacita was sporting her hoodie on the trails and made the same playful moves to try to get the pack running. It's a shame she can't be trusted to stick with the pack when she's off the leash but I think we'll be able to give it a shot again in the not-too-distant future.
Play Pack
Charlie had a fun time running through the park with various other dogs. Coco mingled among the humans for the most part when she wasn't following me around. Benny grumped about the enthusiastic Bulldog pup who has harassed him more than once during recent dog park visits. The pup also got into Charlie's space and for once, instead of lying on her back to greet a dog, she bayed at him to let him know he was invading her personal space too much. Sadie bounded through the snow with playful excitement and then spent a long while playing with her little friend Scruffy. Stella enjoyed countless wiggles in the snow, but she didn't traverse the park as usual because her front left leg was bothering her. I massaged it and carried her around for a bit but it didn't seem to help very much. Molly wandered the park from one end to the other several times and greeted dogs along the way. Benny tried to play with her by running by her with a goofy, inviting gait, but she only responded by hopping out of the way.
