Adventure Pack

Thompson was panting quite a bit as we made our way up the trail and wishing for cooler weather like we had Monday.  We stopped often so he could have water breaks.  Milo, Mamacita, Rucksack, and Roger Roger were less taxed but they also enjoyed the breaks, although Mamacita wasn't interested in the water.

Play Pack

Ruffers was eager to find a playmate and danced around in front of several dogs during the early part of our park visit before finally finding a couple dogs who took her up for some rounds of chase.  Sputnik did a great job of inviting dogs to play by bowing in front of them, rather than slamming into them to demand attention.  He had a long bout of back-and-forth bowing and leaping with one playful dog.  Isaac played fetch, as usual, but also followed around Ruffers and Sputnik as they ran and played.  He has been showing more and more of an interest in the other dogs lately, and not just his ball.  Mamacita was pretty mellow most of the time but she rough-housed with Sputnik for a bit.  Benny surprised me at one point when I bent down to tie my shoe, as he ran up while I wasn't looking and then nuzzled into my shoulder and poked my cheek with a cold, wet nose, all in a sudden moment.
