Adventure Pack

Milo lingered behind a lot as we made our way up the mountain today, pausing to sniff out a lot of spots that interested him or just using that as an excuse to take it slow.  Benny hung back about halfway to Milo, sometimes wandering off the trail a bit, following his nose but keeping up a quicker pace so as not to fall as far behind as his buddy.  Roger Roger found a small stick to bring along for part of the hike but he was more intersted in chewing it than carrying it and he left it behind once it started to break apart.  Rucksack has been insistent about trying to pull over to passing dogs to greet them even when I ask for his attention, so we practiced sitting at the side of the trail for a brief bit while several dogs passed so he could work on his self-restraint.  Mamacita was a quiet hiker, right at my side as always.  After having a drink from the Camelbak today, which at first she did hesitantly, she actually poked her nose forward and licked her lips to ask for a bit more.

Play Pack

Sputnik had a lot of fun running and rough-housing with park regular Joey, a yellow Labradoodle.  He also followed a Weimaraner around for a little while, but Sputnik kept trying to mount him so we moved to another area.  Stella enjoyed wiggling around on her back for an audience of humans who "aww"ed and laughed at her antics.  Sadie chased down a tennis ball that I kicked for her for a while, but her retreivals never made it much more than halfway.  Benny tried to catch a fly that buzzzed around him for a while but he wasn't quick enough.  He also took an interest in the Weimaraner that Sputnik liked, but he was less forward than his packmate.
