Adventure Pack
There was a choice stick in the middle of the trail when we first set out today but neither Rucksack nor Roger Roger took an interest in it, even when I stopped and gave it a nudge to get their attention. I suppose my taste in lumber isn't as refined as theirs. Sadie and Oliver were both in a confrontational mood and barked a the first couple dogs we passed. Oliver mellowed out as the hike continued while Sadie still got a bit worked up, though she didn't react as strongly as the first couple times. Benny mosied along at an easy pace at the back of the pack throughout the hike.
Play Pack
Isaac found a ball and dropped it at my feet almost as soon as I stepped through the gate with the rest of the pack today. His tag-along friend Rocky chased him a bit and Isaac again chest-butted another dog who was harassing Rocky, to tell him to leave his friend alone. Sadie played a bit with a young pup but really had fun later with a Golden Retriever who chased her in circles. Milo had a wandering spirit early on during our park visit and was all over the place. Meanwhile, Thompson was feeling especially lazy today and it took a lot of convincing for him to get up from the center pad and walk the park as I followed Milo with the pack. Later on, Milo seemed tired out and plopped down along with Thompson at the center of the park. Benny caught the attention of a very small, young pup who had to stand up on his hind legs and lean on Benny's haunch to get a greeting sniff. Benny showed the pup a passing interest and then walked on.
