Adventure Pack
Roger Roger, Rucksack, Milo, Mamacita, and Thompson might all be famous in Finland soon. A reporter and photojournalist visiting from there took notice of the pack and asked me a few questions. They are working on a story about health and fitness in America and were looking for explanations as to why Colorado is among the leanest States in the Union. I don't think I had much of value to offer them, but after we talked they snapped some photos of us walking down the trail.
Play Pack
Little Ma was much more comfortable at the park. Instead of hanging back tentatively, she followed right along with the group and even milled around in the midst of numerous other dogs to say hello. She did get harassed a bit by Sharpei mix Buzz, who has also given Sadie a hard time by following her around and barking at her, but we moved on to another area and she quickly became curious and friendly with the other dogs. Isaac and Sputnik played fetch together for a while until a Great Dane caught Sputnik's attention and he ended up spending the rest of our visit following her around. He tried desperately to get her to play, with bowing, nudging her with his nose, and pawing at her hindquarters. She made some playful moves here and there but it was evident that Sputnik was more interested in her than she in him. Isaac ran over at one point and cut Sputnik off, seemingly as if to say, "Chill out, buddy - you're seeming a bit desperate." But Sputnik was undaunted in his pursuit. Meanwhile, Benny nosed at pockets that smelled of treats and he made friends with humans who appreciated his calm, sweet demeanor.
