Adventure Pack

Roger Roger and Sputnik had a contest to see who could open their mouth the widest while they trotted side-by-side along the trail.  There was no clear winner.  Benny led a group of kids who followed behind him as we made out way down Bluebell Road back to the parking area.  When we first passed by the kids, they all giggled at Benny's sweet, dopey demeanor as he sniffed them in passing.  Benny lingered behind a bit and then walked at the front of the group until the kids made another stop to listen to their guide.  Oliver enjoyed exploring at his own pace off the leash.  However, he went back on the leash after breaking from a sit-stay to charge up to a passing dog.  Thankfully, he didn't bark at the dog and kept things friendly.  Rucksack hiked along at my side today without finding any sticks worth hauling.

Play Pack

Isaac seems to have a new friend at the dog park.  This is the second day that Rocky has followed Isaac back and forth while Isaac plays fetch.  And when another park regular, Joey, was pushing Rocky around a bit, Isaac ran over and chest-butted Joey aside to tell him to stop harassing his pal.  Sadie also ran after Isaac a bit and chased down the tennis ball for herself a few times.  She also just ran in high-speed figure-eights for a while amidst her packmates, who watched and sometimes gave a playful hop to spur her on when she came near.  Milo also felt the need to run and had a similar burst of playful bounding after he and Benny wrestled around a little bit.  Thompson found a couple people sitting on a bench by the park entrance as soon as we got to the park and he made them feel very special by staring into their eyes and licking their chins while they pet him.  They commented that he would be a very good therapy dog, and I agree.
