Adventure Pack

We found a deep stretch in the stream at Gregory Canyon and the pack was very happy to take a dip. Milo, Rucksack, Mamacita, and Roger Roger all dove right in as soon as they could. Benny, who seemed to be having the hardest time with the heat before we got there, was more hesitant to take the plunge than were his packmates. I gave him a nudge and he planted his front paws into the water. Then, after a moment, he hopped his hind legs down off of the rock on which he had been standing but then immediately leapt back out of the water the moment his belly got wet, as if struck by an electric shock.

Sadie, Charlie, and Coco all wandered the park together in a group when we first arrived while Stella and Benny mosied along at a slower pace. Eventually Stella and Benny caught up with their packmates and then everyone stuck close together as we walked the park. Even when we spent a while in the bustling, shaded, south end of the park the whole pack stuck together in a close group for much of the time, gathering around me as if to see who could cozy up the closest whenever I knelt down to their level.
