Adventure Pack

It was a pretty quiet day on the trail today.  About halfway through, however, Rucksack, Milo, Roger Roger, and Benny all perked up and stared off in the same direction.  I looked that way and saw a couple hikers headed up the trail, and I thought the pack was just interested in them since the trails were pretty empty otherwise.  But as the hikers came nearer it became clear that the dogs were staring off at something else.  There has been some bear activity in the general vicinity lately and I watched for a few minutes while the pack were all staring, stiff and attentive, but I couldn't see anything of interest and we eventually moved on.

Play Pack

Sputnik really wanted to play with Ruffers when we first got to the park but Ruffers was distracted by the fact that her mom had just left.  Sputnik was being overly pushy, throwing his body weight into Ruffers with chest-butts, and Isaac took note and came over and gave Sputnik a chest-butt of his own as if to say "knock it off," which Sputnik respected.  Isaac and Sputnik then played some fetch together while Ruffers hesitantly walked away from the gate and followed me around the park along with Benny.  Ruffers returned to the gate a few times but eventually she stopped worrying and found a few great playmates at the shaded, south end of the park.  Ruffers and Sputnik ran and wrestled there with park regular Joey - a Goldendoodle - and a couple other playful puppies.  Isaac joined in for some quick bursts of chase, focused on his own packmates.  Meanwhile, Benny found a couple other big dogs who caught his fancy and he bowed and hopped all around them.
