Adventure Pack

The pack sat down by the trailhead at Settlers Park today to practice staying calm while others passed by. Milo whined at a dog passing on the sidewalk about 10 feet away and then Sputnik hopped up and growled, and Milo started growling at that point to, proving that we indeed needed the practice. We hung out for a while longer until they settled down and were calmer as other people and dogs passed. Roger Roger did the best job today and was calm the entire time. Rucksack kept standing up and staring intently at passers-by, though I know from experience that all he wanted to do was go lean against them and get pet. Milo settled down pretty quickly after that first encounter. Sputnik took the most time to relax.

Play Pack

Thompson wasn't very interested in moving today. He walked the perimeter of the park with me, but once we reached the south end he lied down against a boulder and didn't even get up to solicit attention from humans. I scratched his chin for a bit and then got his attention to try to get him to come for another walk with me but as soon as he saw what I was doing he lied back down. Meanwhile, Isaac kept busy playing fetch and practicing "high-five." He also ran with a few other pups who were playing together. He would just dart in for a moment to give someone a nudge and then he'd run away and to back to fetching.
