Adventure Pack
It sprinkled on us for a bit during today's hike. We took cover under a canopy of trees for about 5 or 10 minutes while the worst of it passed over us. Milo and Oliver were off leash and they didn't seem to really mind the rain as they lingered out in the open before I convinced them to join us where it was relatively dry. We passed by a lot of people who wanted to say hello to the dogs today, and everyone in the pack got some love. Benny got a lot of comments about his ridgeback, as he often does - especially from kids who think it's cool. Roger Roger walked along with me very nicely today, as he usually does, and he didn't harass any of his packmates. He seems to be growing up a bit! Rucksack licked Milo's ear during the last couple minutes of the hike as we headed to the packmobile parked along the street.
Play Pack
The park was nearly empty for the first part of our visit and the pack all followed me as we walked the perimeter. Stella was a bit nervous about the thunder in the distance and wanted to go back to the gate so I clipped a leash on her and walked her at my side, which helped a lot to calm her down. When some other pups did show up, Benny had a fun wrestling match and then Charlie stole his play parnter for a chase. Later on, Charlie watched as her playmate ran around with another, bigger dog and she occasionally joined in for a sprint. Coco., in turn, watched Charlie and every now and then she ran full speed to intercept her sister. Oliver stayed close to me the whole time at the park. When one playful pup was particularly interested in sniffing him, he decided it was too much and he came over and put his front paws up on my leg to entreat my assistance in diverting the pups attention. Charlie was quick to come over and help out by greeting the pup and drawing him away.
