Adventure Pack
Thompson was grateful to reach the stream today and didn't want to come along with the rest of the pack when it was time to move on. Eventually, I managed to convince him. Milo was just as eager to get in the water but he listened a lot better when I called him up the trail. Mamacita was especially reluctant to drink from the water spout today and waited to quench her thirst until we were at the stream. Rucksack and Roger Roger walked along well at my side and were the first to sit upon command whenever we took a brief break at the side of the trail.
Play Pack
Ruffers seemed mildly spooked by the thunder chrashes we heard just as we arrived at the park. She stuck closer to my side than usual and we walked around a lot together, but she wasn't especially playful with other dogs. She and Sputnik had a few short rounds of wrestling, though. When Ruffers didn't play enough for him, Sputnik found a few others who were more interested. He had an especially good time with a yellow Labradoodle named Joey. Meanwhile, Benny took an interest in a chocolate Lab who in turn took an interest in Ruffers. The Lab followed Ruffers around, occasionally pawing at her back, and Benny followed the Lab around, doing the same. Oliver was comfortable around the big dogs and stood his ground calmly when they hovered over him for a sniff.
