Adventure Pack
Milo was reluctant to move on from the stream each time we passed over or near it today. One time, he and Mamacita couldn't wait to get in as we walked along a rock face that was raised above it by a couple feet, and they both slid down into the water. Rucksack and Roger Roger joined them when we went a little further up where the water level met the rock level. Benny went off the trail after his nose at one point when he came upon something interesting a ways off, but I called him back just in time and his sense of duty barely won out over his impulse to devour whatever he had just come upon.
Play Pack
Sadie and Sputnik played together at the park today. Sputnik occasionally got overly excited and pushy with his little packmate and I interrupted them every now and then, but Sadie also gave Sputnik a run for his money. On one occasion,I interrupted Sputnik and had him sit and settle down for a moment because he had taken a stalking posture while intently focused on Sadie. Sadie then cam e over to us, stood up on her back paws, and batted Sputnik on the nose with both of her little front paws together. Sputnik responded by pawing back at her and then dropping into a play-bow, and they proceeded to have some good fun. Sputnik had one stiff, growly greeting with a young black dog who a moment later proceeded to bolt into the middle of where Benny and Thompson were relaxing in the shade. The puppy got stern growls from both of them for crashing their lounge party. Stella was a bit off to the side and wasn't bothered by the excited pup. She roamed the park with the rest of the pack as we made our way around the perimeter to get everyone moving, and she got some pets from adoring humans.
