Adventure Pack

Roger Roger and Sputnik started off the hike with a bit of wrestling when we paused to talk to a couple other hikers who asked about the dogs.  One was asking about the breeds of the packmembers and when I told her that Sputnik was part Rottweiler her friend immediately guessed his other half to be Blue Heeler.  As we made our way up the mountain, Oliver lingered behind, sniffing out interesting spots and leaving lots of scent marks.  Benny kept up right behind the rest of us, with occasional trips down to the stream to wet his paws.

Play Pack

It was a lazy day at the park today.  Ruffers found one tall, black dog who had enough energy to hop around playfully with her and another dog for a few minutes shortly after we arrived.  Meanwhile, Benny, Thompson, and Mamacita all hung out in the shade for a bit.  After her friend left, Ruffers hung out by the gate for a little while.  We walked the park some to get everyone on their feet and moving.  There was a kiddie pool and Ruffers hopped in a couple times to get her feet wet.  I encouraged Thompson to give it a try and placed his front paws in it but he quickly decided it wasn't for him and joined Mamacita and Benny to lie down in the shade.  Park regular Remmie tried to get Ruffers to play but Ruffers only dodged around for a bit and didn't play back so Remmie gave up and let Ruffers lie back down.
