Adventure Pack
Rucksack hauled a moderately-sized stick up the trail today and then left it in the middle of the trail to go splash in the stream. Roger Roger happily took up stick-carrying duties and carried it most of the rest of the hike. Eventually, however, Roger Roger grew tired and set it down and then I picked it up and offered it to Benny, who eagerly grabbed it but then dropped it within moments. By that time, Rucksack's interest was renewed and he carried it a ways longer before Roger Roger finally stole it back for the final stretch of the hike. Mamacita and Milo kept out of the stick-passing and both hiked along right behind me for the duration, taking a brief break in the stream to get their paws wet.
Play Pack
Stella headed straight to the grassy section at the north of the park and proceeded to wiggle around on her back in the grass. Meanwhile, Coco, Charlie, Benny, Milo, and Mamacita greeted a few other dogs who were hanging out with their people under the nearby shelter. Once Stella was satisfied, we all walked the park together and ended at the shady, south end where we encountered a very friendly and playful Shiba Inu named Lea. Lea hurdled over Stella while Stella trotted around and then Coco and Charlie both ran with her. Meanwhile, Milo chased down a tennis ball I threw for him and then took it under a picnic table where he dug out a pit where he could lie down and cool off. Benny and Mamacita mostly lied in the shade and occasionally got up to greet other dogs who passed through.
