Adventure Pack
Oliver led the way up Saddle Rock today while Benny brought up the rear. Roger Roger and Sputnik enjoyed wrestling around a bit and when it was time to move on and behave they listened much better. I still had to remind them several times as they were walking on leash, but I didn't have to physically separate them because they mustered up the self-restraint to back off of each other themselves - it looks like the pups are growing up! Rucksack caught sight of something in the distance that really perked him up on our way back down the trail. The foliage was dense and I couldn't see whatever he was staring at; his packmates didn't seem to see anything either, although Roger Roger stiffened up a bit when he noticed his big brother's intense focus.
Play Pack
Ruffers made a friend on our first pass through the north end of the park and had fun running around while Isaac walked on the leash with me and Benny and Thompson followed me around the perimeter at a slow amble. When Ruffers and her friend lost interest in each other, we headed to the south end of the park and Isaac played fetch alongside an equally-intensly-focused Border Collie who even managed to beat him to the ball some of the time. After a bit of lying around, Ruffers found another friend and the two of them wreslted and hopped around with one another. Thomson also found a playmate and did some playful stand-offs and hops with him. Benny found a very big black Lab who interested him and he nibbled at his back but the Lab wasn't interested in playing.
