Adventure Pack
Rucksack and Milo took the first turn off leash today. While Milo enjoyed standing in the running water, Rucksack really made the most of things by running through it and even jumping down a short (maybe 2') waterfall to splash in the deeper water below. Later on, Roger Roger and Benny enjoyed each other's company as Roger Roger chased Benny around through the brush at the side of the trail. Benny led his packmate in circles around trees and then every so often turned and faced him, letting Roger Roger bounce off his chest. Mamacita got excited watching the two of them go at it and made some playful moves herself when they came near to the group. On the way back to the car, Rucksack took special interest in cleaning Milo's ears, to which Milo acceded without complaint.
Play Pack
Thompson found a dog who really got him up and playful today. He followed his new friend around, stnading stiffly then hopping around, and pawing at his back. It seemed like he was trying to mount him but then he would hop back with a happy look on his face - clearly inviting his friend to try to best him. They had some fun playing like that for a bit but the other dog had other interested playmates as well and eventually went off to run with them while Thompson headed back to the shade. Benny went on a short run with another dog and then came over to me with a big smile on his face to let me know about the fun he just had. Stella spent most of her time lounging but followed the pack when we walked around the park. Sputnik tried to get Stella to play by running up to her and then hopping to the side as he came up to her, but she wasn't interested in entertaining her young packmate. Sputnik played some fetch after that and then wandered around in the shade, greeting and licking the faces of dogs who came and went.
