Adventure Pack

Oliver was eager to have a drink from the Camelbak spout today everytime we took a water break.  He's usually not that interested, but I'm not surprised considering how hot it was today.  Benny, Sputnik, Rucksack, and Roger Roger were all happy as ever to get a drink.  Sputnik again growled at one passing dog today after the dog already went by and was about 10 feet ahead of us, but he did it with an unusual, groaining tone that I haven't heard before.  He settled down quickly and didn't have any other issues despite coming by numerous other dogs during the rest of the hike.  One little white dog came right up to the pack to say hello and I was impressed when Rucksack and Roger Roger politely waited for him to approach without trying to pull over to him.

Play Pack

Everyone was pretty low-key at the park today.  Benny and Thompson both spent most of the park visit lying down amid a group of other lazy dogs.  Ruffers was in the same mood for a while but eventually she mustered up the energy to venture out into the sun and play a bit with a couple other dogs.  After that, she returned to chilling with her packmates and others in the shade.  Sadie was on the move most of the time and even joined in for a game of chase near the end of our visit.  That caught Ruffers' interest and she got up and trotted along after the running pups but didn't have the energy to run with them.  Meanwhile, I had to make Isaac take some breaks from playing fetch so he wouldn't overheat himself.  He also addressed the concern by finding a small mud pit to wallow in.
