Adventure Pack

We had a nice hike today with a few stops to allow other hikers to fawn over the pack.  Rucksack ate up the attention, while Roger Roger, Milo, Benny, and Mama also enjoyed some pats and scratches.  Roger Roger took the breaks as opportunities to jump on Mamacita, who play-bowed and/or grumbled in response at different times.  Benny and Rucksack wandered off the trail in the same spot where Benny and Milo did last week, but I was quicker to react and call them back because I saw it coming this time.

Play Pack

Basset Hound siblings Leo and Lola joined the pack at the park today, and they were very eager to go!  Once at the park, Leo wandered around following his nose while Lola visited different people and rolled over onto her back for belly rubs.  Sadie was unsure of the newcomers at first but warmed up to them and hung around with them a bit.  She also practiced some fetch and successfully brought the ball back to me a few times.  Stella has really come around to sticking with the pack rather than making her way back to the gate.  She was pretty mellow, but enjoyed being around the other dogs (though she grumbled when one puppy kept running up from behind her to try to get her to play).  Thompson and Benny both lied out together on the concrete pad at the center of the park for a long while, and were generally their mellow selves at the park today.
