Adventure Pack

Oso was particularly obstinate on the trails today as he repeatedly tried to drag the pack off the side of the trail while he was on leash.  It was a bit of a struggle with the big guy at first but eventually he gave in and started walking together with the group.  Milo started off alongside Oso but migrated to my other side to hike alongside Rucksack and Roger Roger, for whom he seems to have developed an affinity.  Mamacita greeted some hikers with a calm and friendly demeanor and enjoyed a few head scratches as a reward.  She is still wary of drinking from the CamelBak spout but her packmates were all happy to lap up all the water they could get.

Play Pack

After indulging Isaac's drive to fetch for a while, I held onto the ball to see if he might relax a bit and possibly socialize with his packmates.  After he realized I wasn't going to throw the ball, he went and got another one.  When I threw it for another dog to fetch, he went and got a new one.  Eventually, I gave in and played some more fetch with him.  I tried throwing some balls short for Sadie to get.  Sometimes, she would run after it for a moment but then she backed off when she saw Isaac sprinting toward it.  However, when Isaac would drop the ball by me, Sadie often took the opportunity to pounce on it and then trot for a few steps before leaving it for me.  Benny and Thompson hung out amid a more mellow crowd who were lying around and getting loved by the humans.
