Adventure Pack

Roger Roger and Benny wrestled around at the beginning of today's outing.  After a while, Sputnik got jealous and joined in, but I had him sit and let his packmates play a bit so leashes didn't get too tangled up.  Later on, Sputnik found a stick to carry and he had fun swinging it around to show off to his packmates.  At one point, Rucksack started growling with a deep rumble, which is completely out of character for him.  It took me a minute to realize that the source of his uneasiness was a small evergreen lying on it's side next to the path.  I'm not sure what he thought it was, but he certainly found it threatening.  Roger Roger had joined in with his older brother even though he wasn't quite sure what he was growling at, either.  I then took the pack over to the tree to give it a good sniff and to see that there was nothing to get upset about.

Play Pack

Sadie and Coco had fun racing each other through the snow.  When Coco would catch up to Sadie, she would leap in front of her to cut her off and then Sadie would take off erratically in another direction.  Benny joined in with them on and off for some spurts.  Thompson enjoyed sliding through the snow on his shoulder and then flopping down to wiggle in it.  He also enjoyed the company of both a German Shepherd and another Husky who danced around with him.
