Mogul greeted some kids who were hiking in a group this morning. He was very calm and gentle with them, and the kids thought he was cute. Coco was curious about the kids too, but she kept a little distance. She tends to be a little skittish around strangers on the trail, unless they're walking in the same direction as us and she can come up behind them and get a good sniff first. At the park, though, she approaches strangers without hesitation. She must just feel more comfortable at the park because she knows a lot of the dogs and people there already. Mogul and Coco both made a couple four-legged friends along the trail today, including a very sweet Golden Retriever.
At the park, Coco found a rope toy to drag, tug, and swing all around. I played fetch with her also and she succesfully brought the tennis ball all the way back to me a few times; and when she brought it back and dropped it in front of me, she got a little treat! Other times she was distracted by fun other dogs were having, and left the tennis ball behind. Mogul lied in the shade and relaxed at the park. He got lots of petting from me. No poop to wash off of him today!
