Adventure Pack
Roger Roger grabbed another branch with lots of twigs early on today, though it was much smaller than yesterday's find. A little while later, Rucksack found a thicker, simpler stick to tote for the first time in a while. Milo has been hesitant to drink from the Camelbak spout since he started coming out with the Adventure Pack and he's passed on it a lot lately; but today he decided to partake after a little bit of convincing, which involved squirting the water up under his lip directly into his mouth. Once he started, though, he was happy to continue drinking. Coco has been very finicky about drinking from the spout - sometimes leaping away from it while at other times eagerly coming up to me for her turn to drink; today was one of the latter. Benny is always happy to drink from the Camelbak and today was no exception.
Play Pack
Our new pack members Coco and Charlie joined us again for today's outing. They both required an extra hand to get them up into the car but they both seemed pretty comfortable once inside. At the park, Charlie was again a social butterfly who ran all over to greet every dog she saw and to lie on her back whenever they were curious about her company and gave her a sniff. Meanwhile, Coco was again glued to my leg for much of the time. There was one pair of bigger pups who loved running and chased each other all over the park, and Charlie joined in on many of their sprints. Coco even ran after her big sister a few of those times though she had trouble keeping up with Charlie, who in turn was not quite keeping up with the longer-legged dogs. Meanwhile, Benny roamed the park, charming people with his calm and friendly demeanor and occasionally getting harassed by young pups with whom he wasn't in the mood to play. Thompson's routine was similar to Benny's, although Thompson wasn't harassed by puppies. He came along with me as I walked the perimeter of the park, though he likes to take shortcuts and then wait for me up ahead while Benny is always a few paces behind me. Mamacita was more mellow than she often is at the park. She made some playful moves here and there but mostly fell in line with Benny and Thompson's more relaxed attitude.
