Adventure Pack
We came across several different dogs today who were all very high-energy and giving their humans a hard time on the leash. Oliver and Sputnik both barked at the dogs in an apparent effort to tell them to settle down, but of course that just added to the anxiety so I started having the pack sit at the side of the trail and wait to let passing dogs go by - with an especially close eye on the two troublemakers. That worked very well and they both calmed down and let future dogs pass without feeling the need to get a word in. Meanwhile, Benny, Rucksack, and Roger Roger were all in pleasant moods. Sputnik and Roger Roger exchanged a few playful nudges every now and then. Rucksack's gaze was fixed on the geese that populated a field by which we passed during the return leg of our outing.
Play Pack
Everyone was again extremely playful at the park today. Isaac, Sadie, and Coco all ran around together for much of the time, whether chasing after a tennis ball, a snowball, or just one another. Thompson and Benny enjoyed walking in the semi-hard snow that sometimes held their weight and other times fell away under their paws. Benny chomped on plenty of snow and Thompson dug at it with a look of playful excitement. Thompson also saw a pair of Huskies who were at the park yesterday and enjoyed hanging out around them. There were a few other playful dogs who ran around with Coco, Benny, Sadie, and Isaac.
