Adventure Pack
It was a busy day on the trails. Thompson pulled a bit along the way but the rest of the pack did a great job of staying together. Every now and then, Coco and Sputnik started to wrestle around much like Mama and Sputnik have been doing the past week. Oliver stayed at the back of the pack; Benny couldn't decide whether to walk on the outside or between me and Thompson. At one point, we met a black Lab who stopped and waited along the trail for us to reach her, then calmly stood in place while the pack surrounded her to say hello.
Play Pack
Sadie is always eager to get into the park and then once we're there she tends to get a little overwhelmed by the attention she gets from other dogs who want to play. She's learning how to communicate with them by sitting in place to show them she wants play to stop, and she gives them a quick bark if they come at her too excitedly. After some negotiations, she always finds some pups her speed to run and play with. Thompson wandered the park as usual, sometimes moving with the pack and sometimes heading off on his own to one of his favorite spots from which to watch over the action at the park. Benny nosed around friendly humans he's already acquainted with. Coco and Isaac both played some fetch; Sadie sometimes ran along with Isaac. Coco also made friends with a Swiss Mountain Dog named Morris who had her hopping, freezing in place, and dropping into play-bows all around him.
