Adventure Pack

Milo wandered around off the trail today to explore.  Oliver walked at the head of the pack for a while before falling back in with his packmates.  Sputnik and Mamacita nudged one another every now and then, and occasionally their nudges turned into brief wrestling matches before we continued on our way.  Meanwhile, Benny was lagging behind a bit today and it took some encouragement to get him to keep going.

We were immediately greeted by an exuberant yellow Lab puppy at the park today who had an intense interest in Sadie.  He was being a bit too pushy with her and Coco and Sputnik saw this and decided to handle the situation themselves.  They both rushed at the over-excited pup and Coco barked at him while Sputnik knocked him over and pinned him for a moment, at which point I called him off.  The puppy didn't take the hint, though, and kept going after Sadie who came and took cover at my feet which allowed me to get in the other pup's way and break things up - with Coco barking at the unruly pup the whole time.  Another, smaller pup played with Sadie later on and the two of them were a much better match.  Coco played some fetch while Sputnik occasionally ran with her, but Sputnik always let Coco get the ball even when he beat her to it.  Thompson was playful with a large, white Husky and another large dog who he tested by repeatedly leaning his head over the other dog's back and then hopping away.  Benny was very mellow today and enjoyed being pet by some young kids who were at the park.
