Adventure Pack

Since the pack was a bit wired at the end of last week, the group stayed on leash today to practice sticking together and staying calmer.  We had a very pleasant hike with occasional breaks to sniff out spots that the pack found interesting.  Coco, Roger Roger, and Milo were the most interested in getting a nosefuls at such spots.  We also took a few breaks to all sit together and hang out, for the same purpose noted above.  Everyone was pretty responsive except Rucksack, who required very directed attention in order to convince him to sit with his packmates.  Benny walked to my far left and received warm greetings from passing humans when he leaned his head over to sniff in their direction as we went by.

Play Pack

Thompson stuck with the group for the most part today though he just watched their play rather than joining in.  Mama and Sputnik wrestled around early on at Sputnik's eager behest.  Sadie and Sputnik also had a playful session of running and dodging each other.  I was impressed by how aware Sputnik seemed of their size difference since he played much gentler with Sadie than he typically does with other dogs.  Benny met a chocolate Lab-looking dog who he followed around for a while, and dropped into deep play-bows periodically which spurred his friend into some excited maneuvers.
