Adventure Pack

Benny and Oliver enjoyed exploring the smells off the side of the trail today, while Coco and Milo had a blast playing keep-away from each other with a big tree limb.  Later on, they took turns carrying a more reasonably-sized stick as we all walked in a close group together.  Benny nibbled on the end of the stick as his packmates held it.  Toward the end of the hike, we had an encounter with an intensely focused dog who approached the pack with a hunting/stalking posture which put Oliver and Coco on edge and got them barking.  The other dog stopped stalking and came over to smell Benny with a more casual posture, but Oliver and Coco were still wary and it took some effort to calm them down.

Play Pack

Sadie and Mamacita were both in very playful moods at the park today.  They each found multiple pups to run with and also ran with each other.  Sadie enjoyed sprinting in circles with a 5-1/2-month-old, black pup until Mama and even Benny joined in with play-bows and hopping around as the little ones ran by them.  Thompson slipped under the tree stump again today and when Sadie realized he was in there she waited at the entrance until he popped back out, and then followed him around briefly before heading over to Mama to see what she was up to.
