Rucksack has officially graduated from stick-carrying to log-carrying. I lifted the log he carried myself to see how heavy it was, and it had a good heft to it. Every hiker that he passed by commented on it, and little kids invariably reacted with a "WOW!" I just posted a picture of him with it in May's Pack Photos. Whenever he dropped it there was an audible "thud" from the weight of it.
Coco, Rucksack, Marley and Chelsea all played with one another at the park, with lots of chasing and Marley always in the lead. Coco followed Rucksack around most of the time but also played with Anabelle, a black lab mix who's a regular at the park. Anabelle is usually pretty mellow, but she couldn't get enough of Coco as she lied down in front of her and let Coco chew at her face while she saw how much of the pup she could fit in her mouth. Coco loved every minute of it! Marley found a shepherd mix with a lot of energy to chase her, and Rucksack joined in. After the initial burst of energy when the whole pack ran together, Chelsea wandered around for a while and lounged around, occassionally having a good wrestle with Marley.
