Leader of the Pack

Rucksack and Coco had a fun time in the Play Pack today.  Rucksack played keep-away from Coco with a ball I threw for him, and she chased him around for a while.

At one point, Rucksack took a tumble when he was chasing down a ball alongside a couple other dogs, and when he came back with the ball I noticed him limping on his back right leg a bit.  I called him over and sat down with him, and had him relax while I gave his leg a gentle massage.  After a few minutes, he was up and trotting around without a limp anymore.  I gave him short throws to fetch for the rest of the time and massaged the leg every 10 minutes or so to keep it loose.  The limp didn't come back for the rest of our visit, but I'll keep an eye on it tomorrow to make sure it doesn't reappear then.

Coco found a playmate in a 5-month old black-and-white Pit Bull mix named Willy.  They played and played - mostly wrestling under a picnic table.  I just posted a photo of the two of them and another dog that came by to see what was going on.
